With a membership of over 1,200, the Society of American Travel Writers includes communicators from every branch of our field, including writers, editors, photographers, videographers, and broadcasters. Our membership also includes public relations professionals who manage their own firms and clients or are employed with major agencies and tourism bureaus. Are you new to travel writing, or feeling a need for a refresher course on the business of travel writing? Then the SATW Institute for Travel Writing and Photography may be for you. This annual event provides a collegial atmosphere in which students work closely with faculty members well-versed in various business aspects such as research, copyright, and marketing.
